ZYGOMATIC IMPLANTS

The cost of Zygomatic implants varies based on the different protocols employed during the surgery.

All-on-4 with Zygomatic implants can provide you with fixed teeth even in cases of severe maxillary bone loss. For patients with adequate bone volume in the edentulous upper jaw (maxilla), replacing all teeth with dental implants is generally successful. However, in cases of severe bone resorption or significant bone loss, this becomes more difficult. To address this, various surgical techniques such as maxillary sinus grafts and block grafts can be used, but they may extend the treatment time by up to six months and involve additional bone grafting surgeries. Other alternatives include short implants and tilted implants like All-on-4 and Zygomatic Implants. In cases of extreme bone loss in the upper jaw, Zygomatic Implants are often the preferred choice, as short implants alone or combined with sinus floor elevation have higher failure rates when less than 6 mm in length.
Zygomatic Dental Implants for Severely Resorbed Maxilla A Zygomatic Implant is placed into the cheekbone, also known as the zygoma bone, which removes the need for bone grafting or sinus lifts. This procedure involves using a specially designed long dental implant (ranging from 30 mm to 60 mm in length) that is inserted through the jawbone (alveolar crest) and anchored into the zygomatic bone. Once the implants are secured, a temporary prosthesis can be attached right away.
When are Zygoma Implants used? Zygoma implants are used in the following situations: Zygomatic implants are recommended for severely resorbed edentulous maxillae, but they can also be utilized in cases where only some teeth are missing. Severe Bone Resorption Failed Previous Treatments Avoiding Bone Grafting Immediate Restoration Needs Complex Cases Today, Zygomatic implants are a proven surgical and prosthetic solution for atrophic maxillary bone, suitable for both two-stage and immediate loading protocols.
Zygomatic implant procedure Phase I Treatment planning using CBCT imaging Essential health evaluations If necessary, teeth are extracted, followed by the placement of dental implants and the attachment of an immediate fixed provisional denture.
Phase II (usually after 6 months) The final fixed prosthesis is provided. Available options include: New Hybrid Acrylic (Ivoclar) wrap-around prosthesis with a Nobel Procera titanium framework. Nobel Procera titanium framework paired with Sirona in-lab zirconia crowns and bridges
